Sheep Rug - Drentse Heideschaap
Sheep Rug - Drentse Heideschaap
Natalie Wool
This long white fleece comes from a Drentse Heideschaap sheep, part of a flock grazing around the greenhouses in Rijnsburg, South Holland, because they get to the grass better than lawnmowers
By carefully and systematically treating the sheep’s fleece Natalie Wool maintains its charm and natural qualities for use as a rug.
Sheep are sheared once a year, so wool is available and is therefore a raw material produced without major impact on people and the environment.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
▪ Clean crumbs and hair - pat it outside (as with any carpet)
▪ Refreshing - lie in the snow with the fleece side in the snow, when it's freezing. Snow gives the sheepskin an excellent and natural cleaning. It absorbs dirt and makes odours disappear like snow. A few hours is enough. (Unfortunately, we don't have much snow in the Netherlands.)
▪ Spillage - can be machine washed with "wool wash 30 degrees" and dry in the open air.
Natalie Wool
Natalie studied tourism, then ended up at a travel agency where she enjoyed working for five years, then held various administrative positions before ending up at a women's fashion company. Here she progressed from order administration to customer service and ended up EDI where her function was automated.
A nice 'kick in the butt' to turn her hobby into her job. Because since 2010, Natalie got in touch with sheep's wool and has been running felting workshops on weekends. This has since grown into a wool empire.
