The Joinery Blankets begin with linen: its natural beauty, durability, and tactile character. Drawing on the simple strength of traditional Japanese joinery, each design translates the visual logic of a wood joint into textile. Precise forms and harmonious tonal colors create a distinctive geometry, highlighted in undyed linen. There is no unnecessary embellishment; the material, color, and design do the work.

The Joinery Blanket is made to be lived with: draped over a sofa, layered at the foot of a bed, or as a cozy layer on a chilly evening in the garden. Naturally breathable and temperature-regulating, linen is as practical as it is beautiful, making it comfortable for year-round use.

Each blanket is individually made, no two are exactly alike.

Each runner is handmade in Kathryn’s Netherlands studio from European-grown and produced OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified linen with an undyed linen backing.

Care Instructions

Your linen blanket will soften and gain character over time. Linen is a natural, breathable fiber that is naturally antibacterial and resistant to dirt, so it does not need to be washed after every use.
When needed, machine wash with similar colors at 30°C on a gentle or wool cycle. Use a mild detergent (bleachless) and wash. Reshape while damp and air dry. Avoid direct sunlight.
Linen’s natural creasing is part of its character and does not require ironing. If desired, iron on medium heat
